(7.6s) Tunable lenses offer continuous focus ability over a specified focal range, allowing the user to custom tune the lenses for optimum performance. The lens consists of a liquid polymer mounted in a sturdy housing and protected by two windows. Rotating the outer ring of the manually focused tunable lenses manipulates the focal length and changes the shape from convex to concave. Electrically focused tunable lenses offer a single lens solution for focus and zoom objectives. Applying a control voltage allows for the focal length to be adjusted. (6.4s)
