Mitutoyo 的物镜驰名世界,它制订了长工作距离的显微镜光学的行业标准。其使用了一种新的方法解决了工作距离和光学参数的矛盾,而这种方法是其他同行所想不出来的。设计一个更大更长的显微物镜(95mm共扼距)可以使得设计简单,,为了尽可能保持较高的NA值和对比度,镜片全部设计成平场复消色差结构。复消色差物镜是要对红光、蓝光和黄光进行矫正,而普通的消色差镜头只对红光和蓝光进行矫正,平场复消色差镜头的价格不菲,但是如果大批量生产的话,成本会降的几乎比消色差物镜的价格还低。而且所有的镜片都是去过应力的。优化过的亮场(平行照明到同轴光照明),这些镜头是线形照明的理想选择。对于一个无限远矫正系统,需要有第二个镜头。所有状态的放大倍率是基于一个焦距为200mm的接口,安装螺纹:M26 x 0.706 pitch (36 TPI)。
