Join us for a demonstration on selecting the proper optical components for your OCT system for non-invasive, high-resolution imaging.
We invite you to join this 45-minute webinar presented by Rebecca Charboneau, Solutions Engineer at Edmund Optics, and Dr. Adam Wax, Founder of Lumedica. At the end of this webinar, participants will have a strong understanding of:
Rebecca is part of Edmund Optics’ Engineering Leadership Program and is currently working with the Solutions Engineering team at the company’s Cherry Hill, NJ office. She joined Edmund Optics in 2021 and has been working closely with our life science customers to provide them with custom optical solutions based around their system needs. Rebecca has a background in biomedical engineering and received a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Rowan University.
Adam received dual B.S. degrees, one in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY and one in physics from the State University of New York at Albany, and a Ph.D. degree in physics from Duke University, Durham, NC. He joined the George R. Harrison Spectroscopy Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as a postdoctoral fellow of the National Institutes of Health immediately after his doctorate. In 2002, Dr. Wax joined the faculty of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University. In 2006, Dr. Wax founded Oncoscope, Inc. to commercialize early cancer detection technology developed in his laboratory and in 2014, founded Lumedica, Inc. to develop low cost OCT systems. He is a fellow of the Optical Society of America, SPIE, and AIMBE and is inventor on 19 US patents. He currently serves as the Editor-in-chief of the SPIE journal, Optical Engineering. His research interests are in the use of light scattering and interferometry to probe the biophysical properties of cells for both diagnosis of disease and fundamental cell biology studies.
