EO’s Emergency Closure/Late Opening process:

In the case of a State of Emergency, where vehicles are not permitted on the roads, EO will be closed. Employees should NOT report to work and all employees will be paid their normal hours for the day.

In the case of “business as usual” and the facilities are open or a “late opening”, please use your own judgment in deciding to come to work. If you feel that it is unsafe for you to travel, you are encouraged to use your PTO. If you choose to use PTO, you are required to notify your direct supervisor and/or department head directly. Do not leave a message in the general mailbox.

To determine the building status:

• If you have signed up to receive a text from our AlertMedia system, you will receive a text between 5:00AM and 5:30AM alerting you if there is a closing or a late start.
• Check your EO email – an email will be sent from AlertMedia and/or a member of the Emergency Management Team
• Call the EO Emergency hotline number 1-800-363-1992 ext. 6699 or (856) 547-3488 ext. 6699. A message about the building status will be posted by 6:30 AM. If you receive a busy signal, please hang up and try again.

Note: Please make sure you provide your manager with up to date contact information and you’ve subscribed to our AlertMedia system through the Talent Development team.
